Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin to promote and facilitate trade relations between Germany and international markets.

Foundation of Deutsch-Asiatische Bank in Berlin – as a special institution for the East Asian market – by a German bank syndicate led by Disconto-Gesellschaft and Deutsche Bank.

1906-Deutsche-Bank-History-Branch-Singapore.jpg

Deutsch-Asiatische Bank opened its branch in Singapore.

1971-Deutsche-Bank-History-Branch-Singapore-reopening.jpg

Deutsch-Asiatische Bank reopened its Singapore branch.

1972-Deutsche-Bank-History-Branch-Singapore-European Asia Bank.jpg

In order to fully integrate Deutsch-Asiatische Bank into the newly founded European Asian Bank, Deutsche Bank relinquished the Singapore branch to one its co-shareholders. In the same year, European Asian Bank opened a new branch in Singapore.

European Asian Bank became Deutsche Bank (Asia).

1988-Deutsche Bank AG-in-Asia.jpg

Deutsche Bank (Asia) was merged into Deutsche Bank AG. The management of the Asia business was relocated from Hamburg to the regional head office in Singapore.

2007-Deutsche_Bank_AG-One-Raffles-Quay.jpg

Deutsche Bank in Singapore moved to its new landmark location at One Raffles Quay, which accommodates the largest trading floor of any foreign investment bank in the city state.
