Grants
Grants from the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation support neighborhood-based organizations that develop affordable housing, generate employment opportunities and address critical service needs. Committed to building healthy and thriving communities, Deutsche Bank works in partnership with outstanding citywide and national organizations to help community-based initiatives take root and succeed.
Community development grants focus almost exclusively on New York City and primarily support nonprofit, community-based organizations that initiate affordable housing and economic development projects in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The primary mechanism for distributing grants is through competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) made available to qualified organizations every three years. Examples include the DB Working Capital program, which funds early stage, predevelopment activities by community-based organizations that are starting housing, commercial, or community facility developments; and the Deutsche Bank Supportive Housing Acquisition and Rehabilitation Effort (DB SHARE), to support developers of new permanent housing for homeless New Yorkers with special needs.
